She is a 1994 graduate of Boyle County High School, earned an associate degree in nursing in 1999 from Midway College, a bachelor's degree in nursing in 2001 at Eastern Kentucky University and a master's degree in nursing in 2003 at University of Kentucky. She is a member of Kappa Delta sorority and Sigma Theta Tau honor society. She is employed at Shand's Medical Center in Jacksonville, Fla.
The groom is the son of Joe and Laura Wade of Hustonville and Deborah Searcy of Hawaii. He is a 1994 graduate of Bole County High School and a 2002 graduate of University of Kentucky with a bachelor's degree in economics. He plans to attend Florida Coastal School of Law this fall.
