LEXINGTON - Boyle County rallied from a one game deficit to top host Lexington Catholic 19-25, 25-19, 16-14 Tuesday.
The Rebels (2-0) trailed 13-10 in the third and deciding game before serving its way out of trouble.
"The girls stayed in it," Boyle coach Dana Stigall said. "It shows we played a good mental game.
"The rally scoring puts pressure on the server, and Bruna Lozano was serving on game point so if she missed, we'd have lost the match. But she stayed focused and got the job done."
Senior Erika Shell had seven kills, while junior Megan Lankford had four. Senior Emily Rigney led the team with five aces and fellow senior Kate Edmiston added three.
