JUNCTION CITY - New promoter Jerry Denson will present a racing program at The Legendary Ponderosa Speedway tonight featuring a regular show for Late Models, Modifieds, Sportsman and Chevettes.
The Late Models will race 30 laps, with the winner taking home $1,000. Also on the racing card will be a 20 lap, $500 to win Modified feature, plus a 15-lap Sportsman feature and a 12-lap Chevette feature.
Last week was scheduled to be first week of action at The Legendary Ponderosa Speedway since the death of former promoter John Bradshaw in May. Eighty race cars were in attendance before rain sat in during Modified time trials and canceled the show. All general admission tickets and pit passes from last week will be good Friday.
Activities will get underway today with pit gates opening at 4 p.m. and the main gates at 5. Hot laps will begin around 7, with time trials at 7:30. Racing is set for 8:15.
