Weddings for Aug. 17

Michelle Lorainne Bonta and John Eric Foutch were married July 12 in Springfield.

Brandi N. Bonta of Nicholasville served as maid of honor and John R. Foutch of Danville was best man.

The couple made a wedding trip to the Cayman Islands.

The bride is the daughter of Marshall Bonta of Salvisa and Bonnie Church of Nicholasville. She is a 1992 graduate of Mercer County High School and is employed by the Wal-Mart Pharmacy.

The groom is the son of John and Joyce R. Foutch of Danville. He is a 1994 graduate of Harrodsburg High School and a 2000 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University. He is employed by the Nicholasville Police Department.


They live in Nicholasville.


Kimberly June Lichtefeld and Thomas Joseph Kernen were married Saturday at First Christian Church in Danville by Caroline Bloomfield.

Cathy Logsdon of Danville, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Olivia and Cecily Allen, Kameron and Kennedy Collier, all of Danville, Sarah and Hannah Rooks, both of Ashburn, Ga.

Chris Simonsen of Great Lakes, Ill., and Brett Sparks of Danville, were best men. Groomsmen were Dave Poling of Moreland and Brad Twilley of Danville.

The couple made a wedding trip to Las Vegas.

The bride is the daughter of Rob and Lichtefeld of Danville. She is a 1990 graduate of duPont Manual High School in Jefferson County, a 1994 graduate of Spencerian College with a degree in fashion design, and attends Midway College. She is a patient care technician at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

The groom is the son of Georgia Withers of Danville and Joe Dan and Elizabeth Kernen of Stanford. He is a 1985 graduate of Danville High School, a 1988 graduate of Danville School of Practical Nursing and a 1992 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University. He is a registered nurse with Central Baptist Hospital.

They live in Danville.
