Heart of Kentucky United Way's ninth annual Day of Caring will be held Wednesday at Millennium Park.
Hundreds of volunteers from the industrial, business and educational community will work in various non-profit agencies and community service projects, as well as to kick-off Heart of Kentucky United Way's annual campaign.
By participating in Day of Caring, volunteers not only will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the community, but also will see first-hand how United Way dollars benefit others.
Volunteers will meet at 7:30 a.m. at Millennium Park for a light breakfast and then be sent off to their assigned work projects at various sites. The groups will reconvene at Millennium Park for lunch and the campaign kick-off celebration at noon. In addition, the American Red Cross will have a blood drive at Millennium Park from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
