Mary Arnold

Mary Arnold, 99, of East Main Street died today at Charleston Health Care Center. Arrangements are incomplete at Stith Funeral Home.

Linda K. Derringer

LIBERTY - Linda Kaye Derringer, 48, of Riverview Estates died Sunday at her home.

Born Oct. 5, 1954, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Ruby Marple Derringer. She was a member of Liberty First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her brother, Wayne "Bird Legs" Derringer of Campbellsville; and two sisters, Norma Jane Derringer and Judy Gabehart, both of Liberty.


Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Larry Davis and Jimmy Brown. Burial will be in Whited Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be David, Johnny and Marcus Derringer, Waylon Roberts, Marshall Godsey and Shaun Pendergraft.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Thursday.

Alvin E. Gander

STANFORD - Alvin E. Gander, 91, of Newland Lane died Tuesday at Fort Logan Hospital.

Born Jan. 8, 1912, in Stanford, he was the son of the late Jacob and Anna Vongruenigan Gander. He was a retired dairy farmer and a member of Stanford Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby K. Gander; two daughters, Pamela Johnson of Stanford and Donna Horne of Danville; two sons, Bo Gander and Gary W. Gander, both of Stanford; a sister, Aline Gander of Ohio; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be private.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Stanford Presbyterian Church.

Fox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Elmer L. Walls

LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.- Elmer Lushion Walls, 83, of Lawrenceburg, Ind., died Sunday.

He was retired from General Motors after 30 years of service as an assembler and a member of Greendale First Church of Christ, Eagles Club and American Legion Post 239 of Lawrenceburg.

Survivors include his wife, Estelle Walls; a daughter, Debbie Schulz of Greendale, Ind.; a brother, Charles Walls of Stanford; a sister, Ewona Robbins of Stanford; a grandson; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greendale Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday with an Eagles service at 7 p.m.

Memorials may go to Dearborn County Hospice.

J.T. Walton

LANCASTER - J.T. Walton, 90, of Marksbury Avenue died Tuesday at his home. He was the husband of Deborah Walton. Arrangements are incomplete at Ramsey Funeral Home.


Mark Pendygraft

Graveside services for Mark Wayne Pendygraft, 32, of Somerset will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Parksville Cemetery.

He died Monday.

Born Feb. 20, 1971, in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Charles and Linda May Pendygraft. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Smith Pendygraft; a stepson, Steven Sears of Somerset; two stepdaughters, Nicole Hardin of Hamilton, Ohio, and Kayla Smith of Somerset; two sisters, Edith Kidwell of Somerset and Patricia Becraft of Danville; a brother, Charles Pendygraft Jr. of Danville; and grandparents, Ray and Ida Whitaker of Dayton, Ohio.

Pallbearers will be Grant and Denny Alford, Russell Hamby, Justin and Ray Griffin and Harold Kidwell.

Visitation will be 12:30 -1:30 p.m. Thursday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home.

Gilbert J. Stempfly

STANFORD - Services for Gilbert John Stempfly, 82, of Waynesburg will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Fox Funeral Home by Dan Gutenson. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.

He died Monday at his home.

Born Aug. 15, 1921, in Ottenheim, he was the son of the late Albert and Bertha Schum Stempfly. He was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Selma Mae Gutenson Stempfly; two daughters, Sharon C. Shannon of Jacksboro, Tenn., and Debra A. Anderson of Lexington; a sister, Emma Schuler of Waynesburg; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jim May, Randy and Mark Rowe, Ray Sims, Anton and Dale Osterman.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today.
