Lincoln boys top Boyle, Casey

August 26, 2003

Three Lincoln County boys each shot 39 and a fourth was one stroke behind Monday as the Patriots defeated Boyle County and Casey County at Stanford.

Lincoln's four-man score of 157 was nine strokes over par and two strokes better than second-place Boyle. Casey was third at 175.

Lincoln coach Willie Hoskins said the Patriots took advantage of their home-course advantage at Dix River Country Club as they improved to 5-0.

"That's what we've been shooting at home," Hoskins said. "You're going to shoot five to 10 shots better at home than you are on the road, I think."
