Benefit planned for woman with illness:
MACKVILLE - New Harmony Baptist Church will sponsor a benefit supper and gospel singing at 6 p.m. Thursday at Mackville Community Development Center in Washington County.
Proceeds will help eliminate some of the financial hardship that Michelle Holderman and her family have incurred because of her ongoing medical expenses. Holderman, who has been ill since 1994, suffers from Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome.
The menu includes a choice of hamburger, hotdog or ribeye, a vegetable, and a homemade dessert, and the price depends on what is ordered. The concert costs $6 in advance or $8 at the door. Rising country and gospel music start Jennifer Scott Pinkston will perform along with others.
