Nellie P. Reynolds

Nellie Ferguson Preston Reynolds, 84, formerly of Danville, died Friday at Harrodsburg Health Care Center.

Born May 26, 1919, in Junction City, she was the daughter of the late George and Anna Blankenship Ferguson. She was the widow of Marshall Preston and W.O. Reynolds.

She was a seamstress for many years at Palm Beach Co., Britts Department Store and the Catherine Shop, and she worked for the Goodall Company. She was a member of First Church of God, Danville.

She is survived by two daughters, Wilma Ward of Mequon, Wis., and Bonnie Cocanougher of Harrodsburg; a brother, George Ferguson of Danville; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.


A private graveside service will be held in Bellevue Cemetery.

Memorials may go to Heritage Hospice of Danville.

Kevin B. Hayner

LANCASTER - Kevin Blake Hayner, one month, of Richmond Road died Friday at Fort Logan Hospital. Born August 6 in Stanford, he was the son of Stacey Leigh Morgan.

Survivors include his grandparents, Sharon and Richard Arnold; great-great grandparents, Patricia Steele, James Hayner of North Carolina, and the Rev. Pete and Jean Arnold; and a great-great grandmother, Eugenia McEvoy of Stanford.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Rev. Bob Coppings. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Caudill, Gary Spurgeon and Derrick Dewulf.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today.

Memorials may go to Saint Jude's Hospital Heart Unit.


Nora R. Dees

MORELAND - Services for Nora Rice Dees, 102, of Stanford House Nursing Home will be 2 p.m. Monday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. David Smith.

Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

She died Thursday at Stanford House.

Born April 24, 1901, in the Rowland community of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Steve and Nettie Yaden Rice and the widow of George Moore and Preston Dees.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a brother, Edward Rice of Junction City, five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, George P. Moore and Ray D. Moore; one daughter, Jeanetta Roberts; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jack Rice, Tommy Sudduth, Bill Rice, William Denham, Pat Rice and Jim Deatherage.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday.
