Fletcher's reps to be in Danville area:

Representatives for U.S. Rep. Ernie Fletcher, R-Ky., will hold office hours in local counties this month to address questions regarding the federal government. The schedule is:

Garrard, 2-3 p.m. Thursday, county judge-executive's office.

Mercer, 2-3 p.m. Sept. 16, county judge-executive's office.

Boyle, 11 a.m. to noon Sept. 17, county judge-executive's office.

Lincoln, 2-3 p.m. Sept. 17, county judge-executive's office.

Diabetes Coalition plans program:

The Boyle County Diabetes Coalition will present a free program on "Know Your Numbers" at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the health department. Participants will get free hemoglobin testing, weight, and blood pressure checks. Registered nurse Rose McKenzie will speak. Call (606) 236-2053 for information.



Boyle County Fiscal Court - 10 a.m. Tuesday in the fiscal court room at the courthouse. The agenda includes youth environmental team discussion on visual pollution, planning and zoning appointment, Perryville Renaissance project update and July treasurer's report and financial statements.

Casey Board of Education - 7 p.m. today at Casey County High School. The agenda includes update on renovation projects, bond issue for new elementary school, high school staff reports, consideration of non-resident pupil contracts and tax rate, working budget and financial report.

Liberty City Council - 5:30 p.m. today at City Hall for a special meeting to discuss police officers, revenue issues and the sewer extension.|9/8/03***
