Jessica Rubelin's goal in overtime gave host Centre College a 2-1 victory over Lindenwood Sunday.
"This was by far our best game of the season," said Centre coach Tom Hobbs. "Our communication and energy was fantastic. Lindenwood had more individual talent than our team, but Centre College won because it played a team game. If we keep building like this, we will be in fine shape for the remainder of the year."
Centre's first goal was by Gina Preston off an assist by Rose Ardery.
"We got two goals off penalty corners," Hobbs said. "Lindenwood had 16 penalty corners, but we did a fantastic job defending them. Liz Lowe had 18 saves on 28 shots by Lindenwood and had a great game."
