"On The Balcony"
LANCASTER - Lonnie Napier, owner of Napier Brothers Clothing and The Apparel Shop, is opening a new section to his businesses on the Lancaster Public Square. The new department for women's clothing and shoes is called "On The Balcony" and is located on the second floor balcony overlooking The Apparel Shop. "We needed to expand, we needed more room," said Napier.
Napier's wife, Barbara Ann Napier used to operate the store "Barbara Ann's" in the public square, but closed that business because of health problems. "She's now feeling better," said Napier. He said she is now working at The Apparel Shop. "We hope all former customers (of Barbara Ann's) will stop by."
Napier said the new department will carry a full line of ladies' shoes, dresses, and sportswear by brand names such as "Southern Lady" and "Miss Dorby." Other upscale women's clothing found in the store include apparel by "Pendleton," "Koret" and "Alfred Dunner." |9/7/03***
