At Danville, Meagan Haag's overtime goal gave Centre a 2-1 victory over Bellarmine on Wednesday.

Haag scored off an assist from Megan Jacob 7:00 into the extra period to lift the Colonels (2-3) to their second straight win.

Centre outshot Bellarmine 33-7, including 19-1 in the second half.

"Centre played lackluster in the first half of play but really picked it up in the second half and dominated Bellarmine," Centre coach Tom Hobbs said. "We improved much more defensively and made some nice adjustments, and offensively we kept battling until we finally got a goal."

Centre had 17 penalty corners and allowed just two, well below its average of over 15 per game.

Sabina Kudmani scored the Colonels' first goal off a penalty corner with 15:28 remaining in regulation.

Hobbs said Kudmani played well for the Colonels, as did seniors Haag and Gina Preston, who was playing against twin sister Becky, a Bellarmine senior.

Lindsey Evancho gave Bellarmine a 1-0 lead when she scored with 18:05 left in the first half.
