A Danville man died Monday after a three-vehicle accident on Ky. 52, 1.9 miles east of Danville.
According to a report from Kentucky State Police, Ian N. Crumb, 45, of Danville, lost control of his 1992 Mazda Protege at 3:15 p.m. while traveling west on KY 52. He skidded across the center line and struck a 2000 Nissan Altima driven by Gary K. Brown, 48, of Harrodsburg, then hit a 2000 GMC Safari driven by Daniel L. Rettburg, 50, of Richmond. Both Brown and Rettburg were traveling east.
Crumb died at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center at 10:58 p.m.
Brown was transported by Boyle EMS to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, where he was treated and released. Rettburg was not injured in the accident.
KSP reported both Crumb and Brown were using seat belts, while Rettburg was not. Trooper Clyde Bertram was the investigating officer.
