Boyle County couldn't get anything going and Pulaski County pulled away for a 25-12, 25-10 victory Thursday at Somerset.
Boyle coach Dana Stigall said everything that didn't go right for the Rebels seemed to go right for Pulaski.
"It was not a good night for Boyle County volleyball," Stigall said. "Everyone seemed to have a bad game at the same time. Pulaski County probably played the game of their life. I was very impressed with how they played and they had some great serving and great hitting.
"When one team struggles and the other team has everything go right, that doesn't lead to very good scores."
Stigall said she knows games like that come along, but she's glad it's happening now and not in the upcoming district tournament.
"We're still going to finish out the season fighting and go into districts full steam ahead," Stigall said. "I'm glad it's out of our system."
