A Danville woman was killed in a motorcycle accident Friday.
Sandra L. Horn, 48, 2010 Wells Landing Road, died after a collision at 7:40 p.m. on North Third Street in front of S&S Tire.
According to Danville police officer Tony Gray, Horn was a passenger on a motorcycle driven by her husband, Michael Horn, 52. Their Harley Davidson Sportster was in the left lane heading north on Third Street when a 1995 Ford Taurus driven by Dawn Schultz, 17, of Danville, made a left turn from the right lane and struck the motorcycle.
"The driver stated the motorcycle was in her blind spot and she didn't see it," said Gray.
Boyle County Coroner Dr. James Ramey said Sandra Horn was ejected from the motorcycle and struck her head on a curb. Both she and Michael Horn were transported by Boyle EMS to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead as a result of a severe head injury.
