Karaoke set for Perryville

PERRYVILLE - Battlefield Post, American Legion, will present karaoke 8-12 p.m. Saturday at the American Legion Hall.

Baptist Church begins campaign

STANFORD - Stanford Baptist Church will begin its "40 Days of Purpose" campaign 11 a.m. Sunday. A service will be held in conjunction with a national simulcast 6:30 p.m. Sunday. The activity is a spiritual campaign focused on a purpose-driven life. Services will be held Wednesdays and Sundays through Nov. 23.

Youth explosion rally this weekend

STANFORD - The McCormack Christian Church is having a three-day youth explosion rally that begins at 7 p.m. today with an overnight camp out through 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday. Activities include a Bible study team, music, food and evangelist Waylon Clemons. All youth groups are welcome for one meeting or the entire weekend. The church is located on McCormack Church Road eight miles from Stanford. For information, call (859) 583-0244.


Support group meets Sunday

The Alzheimer's Association has formed a support group for family members and caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer's disease. The monthly support group will meet at 2 p.m. the second Sunday at Southtown Center, 101 Daniel Drive.

The setting is a small discussion group with an emphasis on sharing feelings, thoughts, and experiences.Alzheimer's disease is a progressive, degenerative disease which attacks the brain. It is the most common form of dementia and its causes are unknown. More than 1 million Americans are diagnosed with the disease. |10/2/03***
