I'm an outraged citizen of Junction city. How can they think that laying off the cops is going to solve their money problems? That is only going to cause more problems.
I've lived here for almost two years and have felt safe. But how can I feel safe with only two or three officers in town? I have two small children and I know that when they go outside they are safe because there are cops around to make sure. Now, what's goinging to happen if there is a fight on one side of town and one of my kids comes up missing. Do I have to wait until one of the three officers can get to me? Will it be too late then?
I know that there is a way for Junction to get back on its feet without losing something we need. Like Railroad Days, did we really need to have it? The money that was spent on it could have gone toward fixing the money problem. Why can't they try and get the citizens involved in helping out. It doesn't take a genius to mow grass or check to see if poeple are breaking city codes. Why pay out money you don't have to, if people will volunteer?
