Danville police have a suspect in custody in connection with an armed robbery Sunday night at Chill's Quick Stop market at 1003 Hustonville Road.
Detective Bob Williamson said the store was robbed at gunpoint by a 5-foot-8-inch white male, wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt with the hood up. He had on camouflage face paint and black jeans.
The robber produced a small handgun and demanded cash. Williamson said nobody was injured in the incident, and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken. He said a person arrested on other charges Monday was identified as a suspect in the robbery.
"He has not been charged with robbery yet, but we have reason to believe he is connected with the case," said Williamson. "The suspect is currently in custody on other charges, and we are continuing our investigation into the robbery."
