Local author to sign book

Bruce Richardson, owner of Elmwood Inn, will be signing his latest book, "The Tea Table," 2 p.m. Sunday at Joseph-Beth Booksellers in Lexington Green. The book contains 85 new tea time recipe and is illustrated with more than 75 color photographs.

Show at airport

begins Friday

JUNCTION CITY - A radio control aircraft show will be 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Danville-Boyle County Airport. A turbine jet will fly at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday.

Primitive camping sites will be available and food will be sold.

Casey clerk turns

over excess fees

LIBERTY - Casey County Clerk Eva Miller turned over $37,750 in excess fees Monday to Fiscal Court. The fees were turned over after the 2002 clerk's audit was approved.


Marching Rebels

take top honors

The Boyle County High School Marching Rebel band tuned up for state competition by taking top honors in Class A at the Louisville Classic last weekend.

The percussion line continued its three-year undefeated streak Saturday by winning the Best Percussion Award.

The Marching Rebels received a distinguished rating and placed fourth overall in the Classic, beating all other Class A, AA and AAA bands.

Boyle will close out the regular marching season Saturday at the Boone County Rebel Classic in Florence. A fan bus will be available, and more information is available by calling Tim Blevins at (859) 236-5047.
