In response to your opinions in the Sunday issue of the Kentucky Advocate in which you state that Ben Chandler has held statewide office and should take some responsibility for the state's economy and that he can't blame this on Ernie Fletcher or George W. Bush, Chandler has held the attorney general's position and does not vote in the Kentucky House or Senate. Fletcher, on the other hand, does have a vote in the U.S. House.
Fletcher makes a lot of promises to get elected, such as health and medical coverage. Well, Ernie, where is it?
The Kentucky governor's office has been held by Democrats for the past 30 years. That much is true. But Mitch McConnell and Jim Bunning have been in the Senate for a long time and should take some responsibility for the overall national economic problems.
The Advocate-Messenger should be unbiased in their opinions on each candidate and let the voters make the choice. Opinion are like ... Well, you know, everybody has one.
