LIBERTY - State police are investigating two fires that occurred in Casey County over the weekend.
A pickup with cattle rack was stolen from the county, filled with hay, then set fire, said Detective Alex Wesley, state police arson investigator. The burned truck was discovered at Arnold's Landing in Adair County near Knifley. The owner of the truck has not been determined.
Adair County Sheriff's Department is investigating.
Wesley also checked a fire Saturday that destroyed S&T Grocery on Ky. 49.
The fire originated in a back storage room, which was in flames when Brush Creek Volunteer Fire Department arrived at the scene. The fire was contained to the storage room, but other sections of the store had heat and smoke damage.
Wesley said arson also is suspected in the store fire.
