Heart of Kentucky United Way supports a network of services that help people day-in and day-out, all year long. These services address some very real, very urgent problems that our central Kentucky area faces - problems such as illiteracy, substance abuse, programs for disabled children, the abused and the elderly. However, United Way supports not only crisis programs, but also focuses on community building through children's programs like 4-H and Big Brothers/Big Sisters and enrichment programs for seniors.
United Way is about people - both the people who need help and the people who are dedicated to making all our lives a little better. By contributing to United Way, we become part of that continuum of caring.
