John B. Chester
John Bradley Chester, 85, of Old Stanford Road, died Monday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born June 15, 1918, in Jefferson County, he was the son of the late Daniel C. and Nannie Mae Jones Chester. He was a dairyman and farmer for 60 years and a carpenter. He built barns and homes in the area and was the builder of the old Sunnyside Pool. He was a member of Willow Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille Bradshaw Chester; a son, Bill Chester of Lincoln County; a daughter, Linda Downs of Stanford; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a son, Allen Chester; and a daughter, Georgia Mae Chester.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Stith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorials may go to Kidney Foundation of Central Kentucky.
Elizabeth Harmon, 86, died Monday at Charleston Health Care Center. She was the widow of William "Billy" Harmon. Arrangements are incomplete at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home.
Lena M. Moss
CRAB ORCHARD - Lena Frances Martin Moss, 95, of Lexington Country Place retirement home, formerly of Crab Orchard, died Monday in Lexington.
Born March 15, 1908, in Crab Orchard, she was the daughter of the late John and Roxie Fuscon Martin. She was a retired employee of Campbellsville College and Woolworth department store. She was the widow of Ray Moss.
Survivors include a nephew, Earl Teater Jr. of Lexington; and a niece, June Bastin of Stanford; and three grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at McKnight Funeral Home by Dan Gutenson. Burial will be in Crab Orchard Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Harold and Donnie Martin, Earl Teater Jr., and Marion and Martin Bastin. Honorary pallbearers are Ed Teater and Martha Bastin.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today.
HARRODSBURG - Kenneth Witherspoon, 70, of Dedman Street, died Monday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Margaret Witherspoon. Arrangements are incomplete at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.

PERRYVILLE - Services for Anna Mae Cooley Shepperson, 82, of Forkland, were today at the Forkland Fire and Rescue Squad building by the Rev. Barry Jeffries. Burial was in Elder Cemetery.
She died Saturday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Pallbearers were grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers were members of Forkland Fire and Rescue.
Memorials may go to Forkland Fire and Rescue Squad.

Thomas R. Bolin
STANFORD - Services for Thomas Ray Bolin, 63, of Stanford, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fox Funeral Home. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
He died Sunday at Fort Logan Hospital.
Born Jan. 9, 1940, in Garrard County, he was the son of the late Luther and Ollie Mary Lair Bolin. He was a farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn J. Cox Bolin; a son, Dan Bolin of Stanford; two daughters, Pam McMullen of Stanford and Tammy Bolin of Parksville; a brother, Ralph Bolin of St. Louis, Mo.; four sisters, Betty Dean of Lancaster, Edna M. Miller of Danville, Edith Lane of Nicholasville, and Patricia Bolin of Oklahoma; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Katherine Yocum.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Lane, Robby Dean, Mike Bolin, Ronnie Cox, Bryan Walls and Johnny Satterly.
Honorary pallbearers are Gordon Deshon, Paul Deshon, Billy Moberly, Mike Hicks, Jimmy Boyd and Joe Lane.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today.
HARRODSBURG - Memorial services for Dorothy Mae Fletcher Montz, 77, of North College Street, will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Don Chase.
She died Monday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 29, 1926, in Lexington, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Frances Potts Fletcher. She was a homemaker and a member of North Middletown Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Hiram Montz; a son, Charles M. Hamilton of Pineville; and a grandson.
Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Thursday.
