What does a jet fighter pilot, an engineer, and a family physician have in common with the governor office of Kentucky? I have to say that Ernie Fletcher is a multi-talented individual but I fail to see how any of the above qualifies him as the "best" candidate for the governor's office.
This election should be about ideas and policies that would be of the most benefit of all Kentuckians, and it is clear to me that Ben Chandler is way ahead of Fletcher on issues that would be of benefit to the people of our state.
The biggest issue today for all Americans is health care. Ben has ideas that would lower prescription drug costs in Kentucky. And help provide affordable health care for all Kentuckians. I am not aware of any plans on the Fletcher side that would benefit the hard-working people of Kentucky, but I am aware that Fetcher has consistently voted with the big insurance companies against a Patients Bill of Rights that would have ensured that doctors make treatment decisions instead of insurance bureaucrats, lower drug costs and protect a patients right to sue insurance companies. I would hope that my doctor would want to make the decisions about my treatment, and make sure that I could get the medicine I need.
