Dear Editor:
Since Ben Chandler has been Kentucky's top law enforcement official, our state's drug problems have grown exponentially. There has been no vision or leadership coming from Attorney General Ben Chandler's office on this important issue, and now we are worse off because of it.
We need someone who can truly understand Kentucky's staggering drug problems. Ernie Fletcher and his running mate, former U.S. attorney Steve Pence, can do something about it. Steve Pence is a law enforcement official who has gotten results, as he was a prosecutor during the BOPTROT scandal in Frankfort and was appointed by President Bush as U.S. attorney.
We need people in elective office who can get results. Ernie Fletcher and Steve Pence have a record of delivering for the people. Ben Chandler has a record of holding office and doing more to promote himself than doing anything about Kentucky's real problems.
