LANCASTER (AP) - A Lexington woman was killed Thursday in Garrard County when her car crossed into the path of a pickup truck, police said.
Lora Coleman, 57, was headed south on U.S. 27 after noon when she lost control of her car and collided with a pickup driven by Billy Day of Crab Orchard, according to the Kentucky State Police.
Coleman was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Coroner Clyde Merida. Police said she had not been wearing a seat belt.
Day, 49, was taken to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. His injuries were minor.
