After what has been going on in Iraq the past few days, I am starting to get the impression that the people don't want us there. That can't be though because according to Capt. Jeff Maglio, "They are glad that we are there."
I mean I still hold on to the belief that the Iraqis must have thought that Saddam was on that helicopter. If they knew it was full of Americans they would have been waiting on the ground with food for us. Women would have had washcloths to bath our soldiers' faces.
Even here in the United States the population is growing weary of watching our citizens die. Now we know that Bush would have liked to have attended each funeral, but he has had more important things to do. Posing for pictures with Ernie Fletcher for a thousand dollars a pop for example.
