Car cruise-in to promote Toys for Tots

STANFORD - Stanford Renaissance Main Street Program will hold a car cruise-in 5-8 p.m. Nov. 14. The cruise-in will promote Winterfest Toys for Tots. Registration is one gift for a child. There also will be a silent auction and food booth, with all proceeds benefitting Winterfest. Silent auction items are still needed.

Casey 4-H promotes firearm safety

LIBERTY - The Casey County Shooting Sports Club has 27 members between 9 and 19 years old. The club meets 6 p.m. Thursday at the local Sportsman's Club to teach club members about firearm safety and responsibility when using weapons.

Instruction is offered on using a BB, sport, target and air rifle, archery, trap, .22-caliber and air pistols.
