Robert Young

Robert Young, 79, of North Third Street, died Saturday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Arrangements are incomplete at Smith-Jackson funeral home.

Buford Taylor

HARRODSBURG - Buford Taylor, 73, of Harrodsburg, died Saturday at his home. Arrangements are incomplete at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.

Helen R. Noel

HARRODSBURG - Helen Ruth Noel, 58, of Maryland, formerly of Harrodsburg, died Friday in Maryland. Arrangements are incomplete at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.

Willie A. Vincent

Willie K. Adams Vincent, 85, of Dayton, Ohio, died Tuesday at Harborside Nursing Center in Dayton.

Born May 31, 1918, in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Emma Hood and Willie Adams.

Survivors include a son, Thomas Vincent of Dayton; a sister, Beatrice Adams of Danville; and three grandchildren.


Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Smith-Jackson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Dayton.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday at Thomas Funeral Home, 4520 Salem Avenue, Dayton.

Memorials may go to the American Heart Association.


Marvin E. Clark

HARRODSBURG - Services for Marvin Eugene Clark, 75, of Catlett Road, were Saturday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Don Chase.

He died Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born Feb. 14, 1928, in Greens Fork, Ind., he was the son of the late Clarence and Loraine Kenny Clark.

He was a retired mechanical engineer for the Eaton Manufacturing plant, a Navy veteran of World War II, a pilot and a Kentucky Colonel. He was a member of Mercer Masonic Lodge 777 F&AM, the Oleika Shrine Temple, Wilderness Shrine Club, Scottish Rite, and American Model Plane Association.

He was a member of Harrodsburg Christian Church and a pioneer of Harrodsburg.

He was formerly the chief engineer for Ford Motor Company, where he designed the first automobile air conditioner and worked on the limousine formerly used by President John F. Kennedy.

Survivors include his wife, Fern L. Keeling Clark; three sons, Kirk A. Clark of Los Angeles, David D. Clark of Frankfort and Max E. Clark of Harrodsburg; a daughter, Patricia A. Lewis of Harrodsburg; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Memorials may go to Shriners' Crippled Children Hospital of Lexington.

Loretta C. Cook

WAYNESBURG - Services for Loretta Cornett Rousey Cook, 75, of Lumberton, Texas, formerly of Waynesburg, will be 2 p.m. today at Barnett and Demrow Funeral Home by the Rev. Paul McFarland. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery.

She died Wednesday at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.

Born Jan. 9, 1928, in Letcher County, she was the daughter of the late John D. and Lou Cinda Cornett. She was an employee of Palm Beach. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lumberton, Texas.

Survivors include a son, Butch Rousey of Lumberton; three daughters, Bonnie Rousey, Beckie Rousey and Linda Carter, all of Lumberton; three brothers, Arvil Cornett of Lakeland, Fla., Arvin Cornett of Chapel Hill, N.C., and Chester Cornett of Cloverdale, Ind.; two sisters, Rose Miller of Glenmont, Ohio, and Jean Mundey of Zephyr Hills, Fla.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
