Charles McGill

Charles McGill, 76, of Hustonville, died today at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Arrangements are incomplete at Smith-Jackson Funeral Home.

Billy W. Hall

LANCASTER - Billy Wayne Hall, 56, of Buckeye Road, died Monday at Fort Logan Hospital. He was the son of Geneva Gill Hall of Lancaster. Arrangements are incomplete at Ramsey Funeral Home.


Edith Irvin

Services for Edith Irvin, 94, of Danville, will be noon Thursday at Smith-Jackson Funeral Home by the Rev. David Chenault. Burial will be in Hilldale Cemetery.

She died Sunday at Charleston Health Care Center.

Born Feb. 5, 1908, in Garrard County, she was an evangelist having traveled the country extensively serving as a minister. She also was a homemaker, a member of Church of God of America Number One in Lexington and a former member of Church of God of America in Danville. She was a graduate of Bate High School and attended Simmons Bible College in Louisville. She was the widow of John Irvin.


Survivors include a son, Julius Irvin of Sacramento, Calif.; four grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, John and Joe Irvin.

Visitation will be 10 a.m.-noon Thursday.

Mary E. Leavell

Services for Mary Elizabeth Masterson Leavell, 76, of Stanford, will be 1 p.m. Friday at Church of Jesus Christ, Lancaster, by the Rev. Earl Thornton. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.

She died Sunday at Fort Logan Hospital.

Born Nov. 29, 1926, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Zalee and Ethel Dee Masterson. She was a homemaker and a member of Church of Jesus Christ.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty Jackson of Lancaster; four sons, William Leavell of Lancaster, David and Paul Leavell, both of Lexington, and Cecil Leavell of Danville; 19 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Cecil Dunn, William Hocker, Simon Norris, Donnel Simpson, Jackie Trumbo and Paul VanDyke.

Honorary pallbearers are James Headley, Carlos Leavell, Richard Leavell Jr., Sean Paul Leavell, Dan Leavell and Damon Norris.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Smith-Jackson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
