A Danville man pleaded guilty last week to sodomy and sexual abuse charges stemming from incidents that occurred in 2002.
Rodney Rosenberry, 37, of 425 Patrician Place, was sentenced in Boyle Circuit Court to 20 years for second-degree sodomy and five years for first degree sexual abuse. The sentences will run consecutively, and he was given credit for 318 days served.
Rosenberry was indicted by a Boyle County Grand Jury in February. In the indictment, he was accused of engaging in deviate sexual conduct with a male child less than 12 years old as a continuing course of conduct between November and December, 2002. During the same time period, the indictment charged Rosenberry with subjecting a male child less than 12 years old to sexual contact.
Commonwealth attorney Richard Bottoms said Rosenberry will undergo a sexual offender risk assessment and be registered as a sexual offender.
