Wellness center offers golf conditioning

A winter golf assessment and conditioning program will get under way Dec. 1 at McDowell Wellness Center, 1107 Ben Ali Drive.

The program includes an individual assessment with golf swing and biomechanics analysis, a personalized wellness assessment and a customized fitness program for winter workouts.

The program will be instructed by Bruce Brown, PGA professional at Old Bridge Golf Club; Ron Barbato, a licensed physical therapist with Ephraim McDowell Health; and Rob Longwill, a personal trainer with Get Fit Team.

The cost is $100 for members at McDowell Wellness Center or Old Bridge Golf Club or $125 for non-members.

Weekend indoor practice time can also be scheduled. The cost for 30 minutes is $5 for members at McDowell Wellness Center or Old Bridge Golf Club or $10 for non-members. Participants must be at least 18 years of age to use the practice net.

Christmas bazaar set

JUNCTION CITY - A Christmas bazaar will be held from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 6 at Junction City Community Center. The event will feature homemade crafts, collectibles and baked goods. Gift wrapping is available.

Meeting

Boyle Fiscal Court - 7 p.m. Tuesday in the fiscal court room at the Boyle County Courthouse. The agenda includes discussions on personnel ordinance and financial reports, joint jail committee update and compensatory time agreement.
