Steven Hoeck made a brief appearance in Boyle Circuit Court Tuesday with attorney Ephraim Helton, and his next hearing was set by Circuit Judge Darren Peckler for 1:30 p.m. Jan. 6.
The former president of the Boyle/Mercer County Task Force on Child Abuse was indicted June 19 on two counts of first-degree sexual abuse and one count of first-degree criminal abuse, all of a male under 12 years old. He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in July.
Hoeck, 27, remains free on a $10,000 bond.
Hoeck also once headed the local chapter of Court Appointed Special Advocates, a group of volunteers whose goal is to represent the best interests of abused and neglected children.
