A criminal complaint has been filed by Danville police against a local man in connection with an incident Monday evening involving the alleged firing of a weapon at a vehicle and the possible abduction of a woman.
The complaint charges Lamont Stallworth with wanton endangerment. A request for an arrest warrant based on the complaint was before a judge this morning, said Assistant Police Chief Jay Newell.
A department press release said that at approximately 7:30 p.m. Monday, the department received a 911 call of shots being fired at a vehicle in the Heather Hills area.
The caller, Yolanda Jackson, advised that she was the passenger in a vehicle being pursued by another vehicle, an older model primer-colored Oldsmobile Cutlass.
