HARRODSBURG - Law enforcement personnel are in the process of identifying two people caught on surveillance tape as they were about to burglarize the home of the Bruce Ashford family at 200 Sexton Lane earlier this month.

A man and a woman were photographed; the man is shown walking toward the home and back to the car. The woman was photographed standing on the front porch of the home outside the front door.

The car in which the couple arrived at the home can be seen in the background of two of the pictures.

The burglary occurred between 12:09-12:19 p.m. Dec. 8, when the family members were not at home.

A Crime Stoppers' report and a police report say the burglars removed three jewelry boxes containing antique jewelry, a Playstation II game system as well as several Playstation II games, several DVDs and all of the family's Christmas presents under the Christmas tree.

The police report says the burglars entered the home through the back door.

The stolen property is valued at $1,404. Crime Stoppers is offering a $400 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction of this crime.

People with information may call (859) 733-9115, a confidential telephone line. Callers need not give their names.

The case is being investigated by Mercer County Chief Sheriff's Deputy Rick Moberly.
