Jackie Allender

NICHOLASVILLE - Jackie Ward Allender, 75, of Danville, died Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born July 7, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Matilda Ward. She was a former volunteer at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center and the widow of Charles Allender.

Survivors include a son, Charles W. Allender Jr. of Stanford; two daughters, Nancee Allender of Illinois and Patricia Lusk of Covington; a brother, Henry C. Ward of Texas; three sisters, Violet White, Evelyn Cochran and Patricia Kinder, all of Fayette County; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and an adopted son, Dr. Mohammed Shahzad of Danville.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Betts & West Funeral Home in Nicholasville by the Rev. Junior Fields.

Memorials may go to Heritage Hospice of Danville-Boyle County.

Stella V. Brown

HARRODSBURG - Stella V. Brown, 96, West Lexington Street, died Friday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital Extended Care.


Arrangements are incomplete at Parks Funeral Home in Harrodsburg.

Hattie Chapp

McKINNEY - Hattie B. Smith Chapp, 96, of McKinney, died Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born Feb. 15, 1907, in Lincoln County, she was daughter of Zora Smith and Maudie Leach Smith. She was the widow of the late Leo Chapp.

Survivors include a granddaughter, Billie Szydlik of Beaver Creek, Ohio; a sister, Florence Leonard of Michigan; two great-grandsons; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at McKinney Christian Church by Jim Swafford. Burial will be in McKinney Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jack Canada, Charles Szydlik, Ed Szydlik, Darrell McDonald, David Szydlik and Dale Kirkpatrick.

Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. today at Fox Funeral Home, and 11 a.m. Monday until the service at McKinney Christian Church.

Teresa Ehorn

CRAB ORCHARD - Teresa Gail Sparks Schupp Ehorn, 44, of Stanford, died Wednesday at Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford.

Born Jan. 29, 1959, in Grundy, Va., she was the daughter of the late Ted Sparks Sr. and Martha Hess Eiklor. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a daughter, Theresa Ellen Schupp of Sycamore, Ill.; two sons, Charles Garrett Schupp and Edward Alexander Schupp, both of Sycamore, Ill.; and a brother, Ted Sparks of Stanford.

Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. today at McKnight Funeral Home Chapel.

Frances Goode

LIBERTY - Frances Goode, 85, of Liberty, died Friday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born Nov. 13, 1918, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Ira Hale and Bertha Clara Rayborn Crawford. She was a homemaker and member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church. She was the widow of Dennie Ray Goode.

Survivors include two daughters, Mildred Thome of Louisville and Betty Clements of Hustonville; two sons, Freddie Goode of Liberty and Gary Goode of Frankfort; one sister, Rethal Asbury of Hustonville; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by three sons, Bobby Gene Goode, Steve Goode and Billy Ray Goode.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Dwight Coffman and Arthur Selch.

Pallbearers will be Ryan, Shawn and Benjamin Goode, and Greg, Robbie and Byron Woodrum. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Woodrum and Jay and Jayme Goode.

Burial will be at Poplar Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Monday at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.

Louella Scott

LANCASTER - Louella "Monk" Scott, 78, of Lancaster, died Friday at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

Born May 20, 1925, in Garrard County, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Doolin Montgomery. She was a retired employee of Palm Beach in Danville and a member of Preachersville Methodist Church and the former Rebekah's Lodge.

Survivors include her husband, E.B. Scott of Lancaster; a daughter, Vickie Scott of Lancaster; a sister, Margaret Hughes of Garrard County; and two brothers, James and Kenneth Montgomery of Garrard County.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Rev. Leroy Davis. Burial will follow in Lancaster Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Robby and Greg Montgomery, Bobby Montgomery Jr., James Rankin, Johnny Shearer and Tom Scott. Honorary pallbearer will be Leslie Gaffney.

Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. today at Ramsey Funeral Home.

Memorials may go to the National Kidney Foundation of Kentucky.

Wilmoth Smith

LIBERTY - Wilmoth Lee Richard Smith, 59, of Liberty, died Friday at her home.

Born April 13, 1944, in Cincinnati, she was the daughter of Orine Brown Richardson and the late Owen Richardson. She was a homemaker and the widow of Ronald Smith.

Survivors include two daughters, Jeana Harris of Raleigh, N.C., and Bambi Seals of Georgetown; and four grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Jeff Edwards.

Burial will be in Casey County Memorial Gardens.
