LIBERTY - A Pulaski County man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly broke into and fired shots in Casey County residence, police said.
Sherman L. Townsend, 22, of Somerset, was charged with first-degree burglary and receiving stolen property over $300, according to a citation by Casey County Sheriff Jerry Coffman.
Maeleen Lawson told Coffman the man broke into her house on Quincey-Bastin Road 14 miles east of here while she was there and asked if she had any money. He also fired some type of weapon in the house twice.
A dresser drawer with jewelry was taken from the house and later recovered, according to the citation.
