Mamie, an extremely sweet yellow Labrador retriever mix, is among the pets available for adoption this week at the Danville-Boyle County Humane Society Animal Shelter. Mamie is a young adult who loves people and gets along well with other dogs.
Many other dogs also are available, including a female black Labrador retriever named Margo, a female Australian shepherd mix named Daisy and a male beagle named Snoopy. Puppies include black and yellow Lab mixes, border collie mixes, beagle mixes and hound mixes. A few cats and kittens also are available.
The adoption fee for both cats and dogs is $60, which includes feline leukemia test for cats, spay/neuter surgery, first vaccinations and de-worming, rabies shot, and dog tag.
