Paula Fowler Kilby has accepted the position of executive director for the Danville-Boyle County Chamber of Commerce. She replaces Don Vizi who resigned in November to become CEO of the new conference and convention center in Danville.
Kilby holds a bachelor of arts (cum laude) and master of public administration degrees from the University of Maine. She also is a graduate of the U. S. Chamber of Commerce's Institute for Organizational Management.
She is currently director of Community Chamber Partnerships for the Portland Regional Chamber in Portland, Maine. In that capacity, she manages the programs, services, and activities of five community chambers of commerce with a combined membership of over 1,400. She also is the liaison between the community chambers and the regional chamber of commerce, its committees, board of directors and staff.
She has previously been executive director of the Presque Isle Chamber of Commerce in Presque Isle, Maine, from 1983 to 1988, and director of University Relations for the University of Maine at Presque Isle from 1988 to 1993.
