Chili supper, auction planned at BCHS

A chili supper and silent auction sponsored by the Boyle County boys basketball program will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Boyle County High School cafeteria. Tickets are $4 and can be purchased from any basketball player or at the door.

Benefit concert set

in Broughtontown

BROUGHTONTOWN - A benefit concert to help with the funeral expenses of the late Lena A. Denney will be 6-11 p.m. Saturday at Broughtontown Community Center. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for ages 3-12, and free for children under 3. Food will be sold, and there be a Karaoke contest with prizes awarded. Denney died Dec. 16. Danville City Commission - 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the city hall conference room for a special called meeting. An executive session on hiring personnel will be held.


Lancaster City Council - 7 p.m. today at City Hall to consider a zone change for property behind McDonald's on U.S. 27 to R3, meaning multiple residential units.

Mayor Billy Moss said residents who want to comment on the proposal should attend tonight's meeting.

Kentucky School for the Deaf facilities planning committee - 6 p.m. today in Brady Hall multi-purpose room. The master educational facility plan will be discussed. This is the committee's first meeting.

Board of Management of St. Asaph's Chapter National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution - 2 p.m. Friday at First Christian Church, 555 E. Lexington Ave. Officers and committee members should attend. The next regular meeting will be in February.

Boyle County Public Library Trustees - 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the library, 307 W. Broadway.

Casey Fiscal Court - meeting scheduled Monday evening was canceled. The next regular meeting will be 5 p.m. Jan. 19 at the courthouse.|None***
