PERRYVILLE - Jason Scott Baker, 29, of Mitchellsburg, died Tuesday at his home. He was the son of Lois Leffew Adrio of Mitchellsburg and Kenneth Baker of Hindman. Arrangements are incomplete at Wilder Funeral Home.

Ruth C. Crawford

PERRYVILLE - Ruth Curd Crawford, 95, of Bluegrass Pike, died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born Dec. 10, 1910, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late J.R. and Elvree Bradshaw Curd. She was a 1928 graduate of Parksville High School and an employee of Palm Beach Co. She also was a charter member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church and a member of Lebanon Road Homemakers Club. She was the widow of Tom C. Crawford.

Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Ellis of Danville; a granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Wilder Funeral Home by the Rev. Thomas Valentine. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.


Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today.

Evelyn S. Baughman

HARRODSBURG - Evelyn Sue Baughman, 52, of Mackville Road, died Monday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.

Born April 7, 1951, in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of Cloe Lucille Sallee Steele Banks of Harrodsburg and the late Clarence Steele. She was a homemaker.

Other survivors include her husband, Randy A. Baughman; her stepfather, William Banks of Harrodsburg; a son, Paul Baughman of Bowling Green; a daughter, April Bottom of Harrodsburg; a brother, Clarence "Buddy" Steele of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Terrie Benore of Sylvania, Ohio, and Aimee Popovich of Akron, Ohio; and four grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Garry Allen. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today.

Fred Kurtz

CHATTACHOOCHEE, Fla. - Fred Kurtz, 82, formerly of Mercer County, died Sunday at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Nadine Mercer Kurtz; two sons, Tony Kurtz of Lake City, Fla., and Mark Kurtz of Melbourne, Fla.; a daughter, Teri Sears of Jacksonville, Fla.; eight sisters, Vera Patterson of Harrodsburg, Alice Stocker and Betty Wooldridge, both of Danville, Edith Pearl Matthews and Juanita Wright, both of Louisville, Mary Underwood and Ida Hurt, both of Lancaster, and Norma DeVore of Stanford; two brothers, Clell Kurtz of Greenwood, Ind., and Harold Kurtz of Lancaster; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Burial was Dec. 19 in Edgewater, Fla.
