LIBERTY - A Casey County traffic crash Sunday sent four people to the hospital, state police said.
Thad Allen, 76, and a passenger in his vehicle, Lorene Allen, 73, both of Dunnville, and Joseph Smith, 22, and his passenger, Melissa Smith, 19, both of Danville, were injured in the two-vehicle crash on Ky. 206.
Thad Allen and Melissa Smith were treated for injuries at Casey County Hospital. Lorene Allen was transported to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, and Joseph Smith was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center, according to a report by Trooper David R. Gibbs.
The accident occurred as the Allens' Ford Ranger was headed west on Ky. 206 eight miles west of Liberty and reportedly pulled into the path of the Smith vehicle, Gibbs reported.
