HARRODSBURG - Justin Doolin had 14 points and Mark Dunn had 14 rebounds Tuesday to lead the Harrodsburg boys to a 64-47 win over visiting Berea.
Harrodsburg (4-8) took a 22-8 lead over Berea (2-10) after one quarter, but coach Spencer Tatum said the Pioneers were sluggish in the second quarter and for much of the third before pulling away.
"We played much better at the end of the third quarter going into the fourth quarter," Tatum said.
Doolin was 5-for-7 from the field, while Dunn was 4-for-9 and finished with 10 points and six assists. Mariqus Brown, who had 11 points, was 5-for-10.
Harrodsburg shot 46.9 percent (23-for-49) from the field, and the Pioneers hit 17 of 32 free throws.
Their 39 rebounds included 21 offensive boards, and they had 11 assists, 15 turnovers and nine steals.
Travis White added seven rebounds.
