Mathis, Booth lead Danville wrestlers

VERSAILLES - Philip Mathis and Matt Booth each won two of three matches for Danville in the Woodford County duals Wednesday.

Mathis won two matches at the 152-pound class while Booth took two at 140.

Dylan Hester (130) and Derrick Lang (189) also won two matches each, but one was by forfeit.

Danville's next competition will come Saturday at a tournament at North Hardin.

140 - Matt Booth (Danville) pinned Chris Jackson (Western Hills); pinned by Michael Braswell (Woodford County), 3:25; pinned Grant Booth (Lafayette), 1:10.

152 - Philip Mathis (Danville) def. Jimmy Mullins (Western Hills) 11-10; pinned by Will Starks (Woodford County), 1:32; pinned Alex Woodcock (Lafayette), 3:39.

189 - Derrick Lang (Danville) won by forfeit; def. Bobby Aacker (Woodford County) 12-8; pinned by Robert Tuthill (Lafayette), :57.
