Pulaski Southwestern 57, Lincoln County 34 - At Somerset, Lincoln (4-12) made only four baskets in the first three quarters and shot just 22.8 percent from the field in a lopsided loss to Southwestern (4-10).
The Lady Patriots were 4-for-35 through the first three periods, and they went 0-for-11 in the third quarter. Southwestern was 11-for-14 from the field in the third quarter, when it outscored Lincoln 25-1 to take a 44-13 lead.
"We just couldn't stick the ball in the hole, and we let that affect our defense as well, and Southwestern just rolled," Lincoln coach John Kolasa said.
It was the second-lowest point total of the season for Lincoln, surpassed only in a 61-27 loss to Corbin on Dec. 31.
Lincoln finished at 13-for-57, while Southwestern went 23-for-49 (46.9 percent) and held a 40-36 rebounding advantage. Southwestern had 22 turnovers; Lincoln had 18.
Jenny Jones led Lincoln with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Shawna Noakes added 10 rebounds, and Jamie Duncan had seven steals.
Southwestern, which snapped a seven-game losing streak, got 18 points and eight rebounds from Amber Wazer. Whitney Roberts added 15 points and five steals.
