Weddings for Jan. 18

Regina Marie Turpin and William Michael Rice were married Dec. 20 at Gethsemane Baptist Church by the Rev. Norman Hagley.

Sue Gordon of Danville was maid of honor and Steve Rice of Danville was best man.

The couple made a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn.

The bride is the daughter of Joseph and Jean Fawcett of Nicholasville. She is a graduate of Riverside High School in Taylor, Pa., and a 1996 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with a bachelor's degree in nursing. She is house supervisor at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

The groom is the son of Michael and Sandra Rice of Gravel Switch. He is a graduate of Boyle County High School and Nashville Auto Diesel College. He is an emergency medical technician for Boyle County.


They live in Lancaster.


Kimberly Denise Daugherty and Donald C. Smith Jr. were married Dec. 23 at Kentucky Wedding Chapel in Nicholasville by Monty Wilkinson.

Lori Daugherty of Harrodsburg served as matron of honor and Don C. Smith of Lexington, father of the groom, was best man.

The bride is the daughter of Kenneth and Glenda Daugherty of Danville. She is a 1986 graduate of Danville High School and is employed at Corning Inc. in Harrodsburg.

The groom is the son of Don C. and Linda Smith of Lexington and Martha and Bob McCloud of Harrodsburg. He attended Mercer County High School, is employed by Harrodsburg Fire Department and owns Smith Services.

They live in Harrodsburg.
