STANFORD - State Police arson investigators are looking into the cause of a fire Friday at the residence of a man indicted last week on drug charges.
Firefighers reported to 1260 Flatwoods School Road at 3:42 a.m. after 911 dispatchers received a call from a neighboring residence. The caller also said the fire was caused by a burning cigarette.
Last week, David L. Adams, 26, was indicted by a Lincoln County grand jury on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine. Fish and Wildlife officer Stephen Isaacs reportedly found drug paraphernalia in Adams' possession and a meth lab in his vehicle in October.
Isaacs made the arrest of Adams, and three others indicted on similar meth charges, after he said Adams unexpectedly confessed to cooking methamphetamines when stopped for questioning in an unrelated Fish and Wildlife investigation on Oct. 29.
