Kevin Caudill filed papers with Boyle County Clerk Denise Curtsinger Wednesday to run in the upcoming Danville City Commission election.
Caudill, who lives at 700 Tenikat St., joins incumbents Ryan Owens, Jamey Gay, Chester Kavanaugh and Terry Crowley as candidates who have filed their election papers with Curtsinger. The deadline for filing for the May primary election is Jan. 27.
Caudill was appointed to the commission in April 2002 after his mother, Nancy Caudill, died while in office. He did not run for election when the term ended later that year because the filing deadline had already passed.
Caudill said he enjoyed his time on the commission and would like the opportunity to serve again.
