Eastern Kentucky University President Joanne Glasser told attendees at the annual Danville-Boyle County Chamber of Commerce banquet Thursday night that Boyle County is a key member of the EKU community, and then highlighted that partnership by announcing the Danville campus will soon offer a complete Bachelor of Social Work program.
"The program will be offered in its entirety on the Danville Center, and that's a tribute to the efforts of the Danville Center staff and its students," said Glasser. "The Danville Center enrolled more than 750 students this fall, and it is especially popular with our non-traditional students."
Glasser pointed out that there are more than 400 students from Boyle County on the EKU main campus this semester, and the county boasts more than 950 alumni.
"Our commitment is large to Danville and Boyle County, because Danville and Boyle County has made a large commitment to Eastern Kentucky University," she said.
